My assignment was to shoot our backup goalie Kurtis Mucha. Gear I brought was Canon 300 2.8 IS with 1D Mark III and shoot from 2nd level (where TV guys are usually standing). 300 mm was perfect focal distance. I could easily shoot goalie, player etc and I didn’t have to shoot through window. Shooting through window sucks. It tends throw focus and AF is also slow.
