Becoming a free agent someone like King James is certainly a big news.  I think I now have my favorite NBA team since Michael Jordan.  LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Miami now has best opportunity to win championship in 2011.

Wedding PortfolioContactPricingI was watching ESPN yesterday and saw familiar name “Jacquizz Rodgers, Oregon State” being voted #3 in college football’s 28 best run hitters for 2010.  He’s not tall but remember ran real fast toward to the end zone.

I still remember photographing Chris Francis’s incredible goals against Seattle.  Portland Winterhawks was down 3-2, less than 3 seconds to go (2.9 seconds to be exact) and Chris pulled off incredible game tying & winning goal.  He’s now with American Hockey League Falcons.  Wish the best Chris.

The Haitian soccer team flew to San Antonio to practice for the Caribbean cup.   As you know, they lost their soccer field and had to find a place to practice.  Their next opponent is FIFA ranked number 9 Argentina in May (Haiti is ranked #91).  I sold one of my 1D Mark III and sent the other Mark III to Canon to clean the sensor.  So I stuck with 5D  Mark II with 300 2.8 is and had to make sometime out of it.  AI servo is weak and missed many shots because of slow frames per second and AF.  But I managed to get some photos today.

Photographing soccer with 5d mark ii wasn’t too bad (actually I was impressed with 5D Mark II + 300 2.8 is).  As long as players coming toward the photographer, it’s a easy shot.  Here’s a link for 5D mark II if you would like to know more about the camera.

I had a chance to shoot Texas Stars vs San Antonio Rampage game tonight at AT&T center.  I’ve been a team photographer for Portland Winterhawks and shooting hockey was very comfortable.  At the AT&T center, only two shooting positions were available and those two spots were already taken.Photog Darren let me use one of the shooting position during 2nd period.  Took this shoot at the 2nd level where most of the crowds watch.

After second period, I was able to shoot in ice level.  Shooting through glass is always nice and AF works a lot faster.

Tomorrow, I am driving up to Austin to meet up with some of the best Sports photographer and attend seminar.  Should be fun.

Portland Winterhawks beat Seattle Thunderbirds 6-3 and that’s 9-0 this season.  Last year, we were one of the worst team throughout the league but man, this year we are totally different team now.  I see a lot more fans this year and Seattle game has been always my favorite game.  Here’s some of the game photo.  I didn’t bring long glasses tonight all of them shot with 1d Mark III + 70-200 2.8 is.
