I’ve been shooting Portland Ski Fever event for 2 years and I have to say this is one of my favorite events. Great show. Some of these guys are fearless – nice railslide. I used two Nikon SB 26s on both side and shot with 1D Mark III at 1/400 at F4.5. With pocket wizard Flex TT5, I could free the action.
Portland Ski Fever
This year Portland Ski Fever invited pro skateboarders and showed some air! There was a very small space on top of the half pipe. I had to use f15 mm 2.8 fisheye. I hand held my strobe (Canon 580 EXII) on camera left and triggered with Pocket wizard Flex TT5. Shot with 1D Mark III at 1/400, F6.3. Harsh light but stopping action was more important.
