I had a chance to quickly photograph Free Reign band featuring the Dallas Cowboy’s linemen Marc Colombo (vocals/guitar), Cory Procter (drums) and Leonard Davis (bass) at the AT&T center. Shot with 5D Mark II + canon 300 2.8 @ ISO 4000 in the middle of the night.

I had a chance to shoot Texas Stars vs San Antonio Rampage game tonight at AT&T center. Only two shooting positions were available and those two spots were taken.Photog Darren let me use one of the shooting position during 2nd period. Some of shots taken in 2nd level.
Tomorrow, I am driving up to Austin to meet up with some of the best Sports photographer and attend seminar. Should be fun.

Watched Shamu show “believe” today. Last show that we saw was at San Diego sea world and it’s been always my favorite show. Kids like it and we really had great time. I have some time left till Texas stars vs San Antonio Rampage hockey game and quickly post some of the images I got today. By the way, Shamu express is my son’s favorite ride and I think that’s the only ride he’s allowed in san antonio sea world.

I’ve been trying to optimize my website so that it can be seen on an iPhone. Since an iPhone does not support flash, my flash gallery wasn’t shown on an iPhone. Today, I just installed wordpress plugin called “WPtouch” and my site is now can be seen on the iphone, blackberry, or any smart phone out there. It was my last engagement session in Portland before I move down to San Antonio Texas. Supposed to rain today but we had some break here and there. Most of photos were just available light. With overcast weather , I decide to make whole background turn blue by changing white balance setting to “Tungsten”. Quick 40 min session with Ilana & KC and there wasn’t hardly anyone out there even though it was Sat afternoon.

Portland Winterhawks beat Seattle Thunderbirds 6-3 and that’s 9-0 this season. Last year, we were one of the worst team throughout the league but man, this year we are totally different team now. I see a lot more fans this year and Seattle game has been always my favorite game. Here’s some of the game photo. I didn’t bring long glasses tonight all of them shot with 1d Mark III + 70-200 2.8 is.

Photographed Winterhawks players, staff, coaches on the ice today. One thing I notice: I didn’t need wheels on light stand. All I needed was just a little push.
Two even lights (Elinchrom BX) with 60″ umbrellas provided barely enough power to give me F16 @ 1600 ISO. Shot tethered using Canon EOS utility and Lightroom.
Actual photo shoot is about 15 min. Directing players where to stand or sit took me a while.
I ended up doing lots of dodge and burning since head coach Mike didn’t want to see any of the chairs on the background.
